This will be brief as I will be taking a short break. Taking time to enjoy the reliable pleasures of swimming outdoors, sun on bare skin, coffee on a patio and visiting with friends and family. I will also be on a trip with the amazing cycling advocacy organization Ontario By Bike. This year we will be happily pedaling around the bike trails of North Bay. These trips are soul-restoring, effortful and humbling. As a slow cyclist I revel in the sights of trees and water, take lots of breaks and roll in behind everyone else – and I am fine with that! I have learned a lot from coming in last.
When my clients want to take a pause in summer I encourage it. There is a great French saying “reculer pour mieux sauter” which means to draw back to make a better jump. OK – see you on the September jump!
